Demonstrators in Makati city, Philippines, protest against the arrest in the Netherlands of Filipino communist leader Jose Maria "Joma" Sison. Sison, the founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines and its armed wing, the New People's Army, was by Dutch authorities for allegedly ordering the murders of two former allies in Manila and is also accused of commanding a rebel uprising for more than 20 years from his home in exile.
