Rowers compete in the Dragon Boat races in Hong Kong. According to Chinese legend, the sport dates back some 2,000 years when Qu Yuan, a well-loved poet, drowned himself because of corruption. Local fishermen tried to save him by beating paddles to keep fish away and today's boat racing is an attempt to re-enact this.
